wellabe is a startup working on improving people's health by raising awareness about their current health status.

One of the main strengths of wellabe is their mobile "Laboratory" (Lab), which is capable of performing health check-ups in under 20 minutes and provides over 60 health indicators. The Lab is mobile so it can be easily transported and assembled into any office room. After performing the check-up, users get their results via a mobile app.

The Lab is operated through a desktop app (LabApp), which is a browser-based software that is designed to work best with a touch screen monitor.

Current Design

The current version of LabApp was designed around 2017 and it was very well received by Lab operators and investors. The current design is based on top of Ionic Framework and works best on touch screen monitors. It is not responsive, as there are no plans of supporting it on mobile screens.

wellabe loves this product and they claim the UX is great, so they don't want to change it for now. With over 5 years of being used, everyone enjoys working with this product and a lot of the documentation was built on top of the current UX.

Problems

• After the initial design of the LabApp wellabe went through a rebranding, changing their logo, primary colours and font.
• Some new features were added by developers, without going through a proper design process.
• We stopped providing technical support for the LabApp, as other priorities came up within wellabe. This made the code very outdated and we decided to rebuild the entire application. We are already coding it, which limits how much we can change the design.

Solutions

1. Update the LabApp UI to match the new wellabe branding;
2. Update the UI of "developer-made features" to be more concise;
3. (optional) Create a design system based on the current UI;

Requirements

• Do as few changes as possible on the UX. If it is possible, avoid changing the UX at all;

• As this project is already being developed, only work on the minimal necessary changes needed for the rebranding;
